Thanks for the great class.
This is the third defensive handgun-like class that I've taken with as many instructors. The gun culture is such that instructors can have a condescending attitude or belittle those trying to learn something new. I am pleased to say that you come across as a very affable, knowledgeable, and patient instructor. I think your style is extremely well suited towards those who are new to handgun self-defense and may be intimidated by the whole process, as well as to those who actually do know what they are doing.
When I signed up, I was really not looking to learn anything new. I was just trying to brush up from being stale and out of practice. I'm happy to say that I had a couple of good takeaways which had never really come up before. You drilled-in the front site picture just covering the target the whole day, and I really like how it helped change my draw times and my mind-set.

Hello Doug...
Just wanted to tell you that the CCW course I took Saturday was great. I learned a few new things and interestingly enough, found that I already do some of the things mentioned (I constantly do 'what if' scenarios).
My wife was very impressed with your teaching when she took your course back in June so I wasn’t surprised that I walked away with the same opinion.
Thanks again for the great job and were both looking forward to several of your classes throughout 2010.

I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and the wealth of information that you presented. My biggest fear going into the course was that I would be "bored to tears." You brought the material "to life" by giving real world examples, relating your personal experiences, and relating "best practices" gleaned from your years of experience in both the shooting sports and personal defense industries.
It was a pleasure attending your courses and I would welcome the opportunity to take any course offering that you instruct.

Hello Doug,
Just wanted to send you a note to say thank you for very informative
training I received on 18Oct. It was excellent training! As a 28 year
Police Vet and former Chief, I can tell you that the training you provided
gives a different perspective that is not normally encounter in police
training, but of certain value to all street cops that carry while off duty.
I would recommend that police departments consider receipt of your training
to gain a civilians perspective of the CCW issues and considerations. There
are some very interesting points to ponder.
Meanwhile, I hope that all continues to go well with you and yours. I will
look forward to your response and thank you again for the training that you
provided me.
