Our Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit Course is
a Arizona DPS approved firearms safety course that provides detailed
instruction in firearms safety, types of firearms, firearm and ammunition
selection, firearms maintenance, mental conditioning for using lethal force,
concealed and open carry methods, personal protection and non-lethal force
options, conditions and circumstances associated with the use of lethal force
in self defense and legal issues relating to lawful concealed carry in Arizona.
This course exceeds all state requirements for
the Arizona CCW Permit. The course is 8 hours in length, delivered in a single
day of instruction, generally either a Saturday or Sunday. Participants must be
21 years old at the time of permit application.
Required equipment includes an appropriate
firearm (no single action revolvers), a holster or case for your firearm, eye
and ear protection and at least 30 rounds of target ammunition.
Our course fee includes all range fees, all
necessary paperwork and fingerprinting.

cannot legally carry a concealed firearm
• Arizona law relating
to the use of non-lethal and lethal force in self defense

in using lethal force to defend yourself or your family

Triad" of marksmanship, gun-handling and mindset
• How to load and unload
your pistol and clear common malfunctions
• How to be aware of
your surroundings and spot potential crimes before they happen
• Life strategies to
help you avoid becoming a victim of violent crime
• Basic marksmanship
skills including proper grip, stance and aiming when using a pistol Our Arizona
CCW courses in the Phoenix area are generally held at the Ben Avery Shooting
Facility located in North Phoenix.
After registration, you will receive a written
confirmation from Armed Personal Defense via email.
Confirmations are sent out approximately
one week prior to the course date.
