NRA Basic Pistol Courses

This is the perfect class for new shooter or a total beginner who would like to understand more about how pistols work and how to shoot them.

This eight hour course provides the student with the basic knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for owning and using a pistol safely.  This course includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students will learn NRA Safe Gun Handling Rules, pistol parts and operation, how ammunition functions, shooting fundamentals, range rules, shooting from a variety of sitting and standing positions, how to clean and maintain a handgun and where they might find opportunities for future skill development.  This is a hands-on class emphasizing safety.  

After registering for this course, you will receive a written confirmation from APDI via email approximately 10 days prior to the course date.  The confirmation will include class times, directions to the class location and a list of items you will need to bring for the class.  Please contact APDI at 480-607-5144 with any questions.
